He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for more than 15 years, retiring as District Manager for Marketing. He was first elected to the United States House of Representatives in 1996. Pete Sessions served as the Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee and is a Member of the powerful Rules Committee.
