Bill Shuster was born January 10, 1961 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Dickinson College. Shuster went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from American University. Prior to entering public service, Shuster owned an automobile dealership in Pennsylvania. He also worked as a district manager for two tire companies.
In 2001, Bill Shuster won a Special Election to replace his father, Congressman Bud Shuster. He is a Member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and is the Senior Republican on the Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines and Hazardous Material. Bill Shuster is also a Member of the House Resources Committee.
