Mike Turner was born January 11, 1960 in Dayton, Ohio. Turner graduated from Belmont High School in 1978 and received his Bachelor's of Arts degree in Political Science from the Ohio Northern University in 1982, a Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University in 1985, and an MBA from the University of Dayton in 1992. He practiced law with local firms and businesses in the Dayton area before entering politics. Turner was elected Mayor of Dayton, Ohio in 1993 and served until 2002. Michael Turner was elected to Congress in 2002.
