Pete Sessions was born on March 22, 1955 in Waco, Texas. In 1978 he received his Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Southwestern University. He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for more than 15 years, retiring as District Manager for Marketing. He was first elected to the United States House of Representatives in 1996.
