Laurel Lee is running for election to the U.S. House to represent Florida's 15th Congressional District. Lee received both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Florida. Lee was appointed to the Florida 13th Circuit Court in 2013. She served in the court's circuit civil division and the civil appellate division. Prior to her appointment to the bench, Lee was an assistant U.S. attorney in the Middle District of Florida. She also previously served as an assistant federal public defender, also in the Middle District of Florida. She was a law clerk to Judge James S. Moody on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
