Matt Rosendale is the current Auditor for the State of Montana. Previously, he was a member of the Montana Legislature. In 2010, Rosendale started his career in politics and was elected to represent House District 38 in the Glendive area. Later, he was elected to the State Senate for the 2013 and 2015 sessions.
Rosendale was the Republican nominee in Montana's 2018 U.S. Senate election, but lost to incumbent Democratic U.S. Senator Jon Tester. Tester won 50% of the vote to Rosendale's 47%, with Libertarian candidate Rick Breckenridge taking 3%.
Rosendale is a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives to represent Montana's at-large congressional district in the 2020 election.
