Doug Lamborn was born on May 24, 1954 in Leavenworth Kansas. In 1978, Lamborn received his Bachelor degree in journalism from the University of Kansas. In 1985, he returned to the University of Kansas to earn his law degree. Lamborn was a member of the Colorado House of Representatives from 1995-2008. He was a part of the Colorado State Senate from 1998-2007 and was president pro tempore from 1999-2000. Doug Lamborn was first elected to the United States House of Representatives in 2006.
