French Hill founded Delta Trust and Bank Corp. in Little Rock in 1999. Delta Trust has grown from an idea to a business, employing over 130 bankers, trust, insurance, and investment advisors across ten offices in the state of Arkansas and with customers across the country. ​ He has also had service as a trustee of the George W. Donaghey Foundation, benefiting the growth and development of UALR, and is a board member of Arkansas Children's Hospital. He is past chairman of the UALR College of Business Advisory Board; a board member of the Quapaw Area Council, Boy Scouts of America; past president of Fifty for the Future; past president of the Rotary Club of Little Rock; past board member of the Little Rock Catholic High School Foundation; a commissioner of the Historic Arkansas Museum; and, he is serving as the 2013 chairman of the board of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce. ​

French Hill and his wife Martha have two children, Liza and Payne, and they attend the Cathedral of St. Andrew Catholic Church. He is a 1975 graduate of Little Rock Catholic High School and a 1979 magna cum laude graduate in economics from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Mr. Hill served as a senior economic policy advisor to former President George H.W. Bush. He joined the White House staff from his position as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the U.S.Treasury. For work on the White House staff and at the Treasury, he was awarded the Treasury's Distinguished Service Award. In 2006, President George W. Bush appointed Mr. Hill as a member of the Community Development Advisory Board of the U.S. Treasury. Working with the late Senator John G. Tower (R-TX), French Hill was a senior legislative aide on the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs from 1982 to 1984.
