Rep. Guy Reschenthaler [R, PA-14]

Guy Reschenthaler was raised in Pittsburgh's South Hills, graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 2001. Reschenthaler graduated from Penn State erie, The Behrend college in 2004, with a B.A. in political science in just three years. He then attended Duquense University School of Law, earning a J.D. in 2007.


In the United States Navy, Reschenthaler deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in 2009. In 2010, Reschenthaler was one of three attorneys who defended a Navy SEAL accused of covering up an assault on terrorist Ahmad Hashim Abd al-Isawi while in custody. The Navy SEAL Reschenthaler represented and the other SEALs charged were eventually acquitted of all charges.


Guy Reschenthaler returned to Pittsburgh after his Navy service to practice law in spring 2012 before being elected Magisterial District Judge in Pittsburgh's South Hills in 2013. He is a 2018 Republican candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 14th Congressional Distric of Pennsylvania.
