Hank Johnson was born on October 2, 1954 in Washington, D.C. In 1976, Johnson received his Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Clark College. In 1979, he earned his law degree from Texas Southern University. Johnson was a member of DeKalb County Board of Commissioners from 2001-2006. Hank Johnson was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 2006, and re-elected easily in 2012.
