About

James Comer went to his local community bank, borrowed $120,000 to purchase his first farm, and began his business. Today that business, Comer Family Farms, is one of the largest farming operations in south central Kentucky.

 

James Comer was called to public service in 2000. He was elected State Representative for the counties of Monroe, Cumberland, Metcalfe and Green. In 2011, James Comer took his passion for agriculture and his credibility as an effective legislator on the road statewide as a candidate for Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture.
