Mary Peltola is running in a special election to the U.S. House to represent Alaska's At-Large Congressional District. She is on the ballot in the special general election on August 16, 2022.
Peltola attended the University of Northern Colorado and the University of Alaska. She founded the lobbying firm Sattler Strategies and was manager of community development and sustainability at the mine Donlin Gold after her time in the state legislature. As of the 2022 special election, Peltola was interim executive director of the Kuskokwim River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission.
