Jack Reed is a member of the U.S. Senate from Rhode Island. He assumed office on January 3, 1997. His current term ends on January 3, 2027. Reed ran for re-election to the U.S. Senate to represent Rhode Island. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.

Reed previously served on the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Rhode Island's 2nd Congressional District from 1991 to 1997.

Reed graduated from West Point in 1971 and served active duty in the U.S. Army until 1979, serving in the Army Reserve until 1991. He received his Juris Doctor from Harvard University in 1982.
