Jon Ossoff is a member of the U.S. Senate from Georgia. He assumed office on January 20, 2021. His current term ends on January 3, 2027. Ossoff ran for election to the U.S. Senate to represent Georgia. He won in the general runoff election on January 5, 2021.
Jon Ossoff was born in Atlanta, Georgia. Ossoff earned a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 2009 and a master's degree from the London School of Economics in 2013. His career experience includes working as the managing director and CEO of the filmmaking company Insights TWI and a deputy communications chief, campaign manager, senior legislative assistant, and legislative correspondent to U.S. House Representative Hank Johnson.
